The Story Behind the Lens

I'm Mariusz, a travel photographer based in Zurich, Switzerland, with a passion for capturing the quiet stillness of nature and the vibrant geometry of cities.

My relationship with the lens began early — growing from a childhood curiosity into directing school TV and crafting short films at university. As my life took me across borders and cultures, my camera became a constant companion.

Today, my work is a visual study in contrasts, divided into two distinct worlds. I am endlessly drawn to both the untamed, expansive beauty of natural landscapes and the rhythmic, architectural pulse of dynamic cities.

What I photograph is what keeps me moving: the geometry of a rooftop against sky, a street filling with morning light, a valley that goes quiet when the clouds come in. Not chasing extremes — just trying to be in the right place, paying attention.

By day, I build systems as a software engineer. It is a discipline of precision and structure that subtly shapes how I compose light, symmetry, and shadow in every frame.
